A recent ploy and approach by the anti-gun coalitions has been to utilize the international community to pressure US citizens to abandon the 2cd Amendment. They are attempting to use treaties not ratified or passed by our congress to nullify our rights via the United Nations. 

While sitting in a committee meeting regarding legislation, I heard an update on some international UN legislation that the NRA had overcome. I asked some questions and found out that the NRA actually has an arm that monitors the international landscape, has a lobby within the UN (all the other 2cd Amendment organizations have been thrown out of the UN), and works with our Legislators to negate any attempt to use the UN to take away our rights. 

I had not even given that a thought before but realized just how devious the anti-gunners can be. Here they are attempting to use a miserable organization that is headquartered on our soil to push an agenda that nullifies our citizens rights. While that is beyond a violation of the constitution (these treaties are not ratified by our Congress), it is despicable to see this approach taken. 

I held a meeting with our international representative, and we discussed the approach he uses to find out what is proposed, how he works to nullify it, and the NRA's ongoing effort to safeguard our rights.  He was one of the individuals that specifically worked to ensure that the international ban of Force-on-Force ammo (simunition and the like) could be circumvented via awareness of what the ban could not encompass. 

I wish the NRA did a better job of educating the public on what they are doing, but I will do my part to keep you informed.
