Its been a crazy list few weeks, but now I am here at Shot Show and having a great time seeing friends, making new ones, and appreciating all of the hard work that the vendors here have put into their products and innovations.
You won't find me in a suit and tie. I am laid back and approachable in every way this week. Today's Hawaiian shirt is a hot pink with yellow "pineapples". If you see me, feel free to stop me and say hello!
As you may have heard, a number of the old guard have resigned their positions in order to take a new tactic as they continue to vie for control of the board. As such, I moved up based on votes and am on the board on a temporary basis (i.e.: we receive the results of the current elections).
Speaking of the current election, the ballots are in the mail. I've heard from several people that they have received their ballot. If you are reading this, then I hope that you are considering voting for me.
If you are considering voting for me, please remember that you are not required to cast all of the votes you are allocated to different people. If you vote for one person (also called "bullet voting") they receive all of your allowed votes. Vote for two people and they split them in half, and so on.
Here's an example:
Voters can cast 28 votes, but John Smith really only likes Candidate 9, so that is the only person he votes for. Candidate 9 will then receive all 28 votes. Jane Jones knows she wants to vote for Candidates 11 and 23. By only voting for those two candidates, they each receive 14 votes a piece.
Whether you vote for me in a group, a bullet vote, or what have you - thank you for taking part in the electoral process. This is one way that you as a member can truly impact the direction that the board is moving in and make your voice heard.
