Elect ISAAC DEMAREST 2026 NRA Board of Directors
To The
to the best of its ability, while functioning ethically, maintaining transparency, and safeguarding its finances. As some of you may know, I previously served a term as the 76th member of the board, granting me a one year term (The first 75 members serve under a three year term). I was later appointed to complete the last two years of the term of a deceased board member, based on my position as 77th place. Last year, I once again took 77th place and did not make the board.
My lack of national name recognition and failure to wholly align myself politically with The Old Guard, The Reformers, or any other faction vying to control the board, made me an outsider and "problematic" in the eyes of many board members. As such, I was not recommended by the nominating committee to be placed on the ballot, despite the fact that I have continued to serve the board on a volunteer basis as an appointed civilian committee member - because I believe in the work of the NRA. I continue to provide financial and strategic advice, and do what I believe is necessary to uphold my values and earn the trust of our members.

The other fact that sets me apart from the existing, or board-supported candidates for the upcoming election, is that I am the only potential board candidate that is directly involved in tactical shooting. That is not to say that I do not enjoy trap and skeet, competitive shooting, and hunting - because I do. But there is currently no one on the board that represents the tactical shooting community, understands the issues facing our community, and can bring our voice to the table.

As an American and a NRA member, I have seen firsthand how important it is to defend our constitutional rights in the face of those who seek to take them away. A right that should not be left to the ever changing winds of political ideology or financial power

​My name is Isaac Demarest.
I am not a billionaire, or multi-millionaire power player. I am not a politician or a gun industry executive. I have no high level legal connections, and I have never played any of these people on television. I am an average American firearms owner who has focused on tactical shooting and training for many years. I also have a diverse background in finance, economics, and business, am a fiduciary, and have no political allegiance to any faction on the NRA Board of Directors.

I firmly believe that the board should be focused solely on representing its membership and the second amendment,
​
brokers. Despite the nominating committee deeming me unworthy, I still wish to give voice to our membership and represent them - rather than the special or political interests of an outside party. But to do so I will need your help, and we have no time to waste!
If elected, I will continue to work for our members, and to make the voice of the average member mean something. Together, we can ensure that the NRA - 2.0 or however they wish to rebrand itself - remembers that it is the members who are its greatest strength, and essential to the goal of ensuring our freedoms
remain intact and that the Second Amendment continues to be a cornerstone of our democracy.

Please support me in this opportunity to serve our members, and the tactical shooting community, by taking the time to get to know me and my positions. Then sign the online petition requesting the NRA board to add me to the upcoming election ballot. We have until October 7, 2025 to make this happen!
