Isaac Demarest

Hello, my name is Isaac Demarest, and I am a candidate for re-election to the NRA Board of Directors. I am not a politician, manufacturer, multimillionaire, or famous public personality. I am an average American who decided that it was time for me to stand up and do my part to ensure the rights of all Americans. I am committed to fighting for the Second Amendment and ensuring that gun owners' voices are heard. The NRA is the leading organization fighting for the rights of gun owners today, and I believe that I have the experience, dedication, and passion to help guide the organization into the future and continue its great work. I would be honored to earn your vote and work to protect our gun rights in Washington, D.C.

Ethical and Trustworthy

I have worked hard to build a reputation for being a trustworthy and ethical professional.
My background is firmly rooted in finance, economics, and business, and I will put my skills to work for the NRA and its members.
I am a Certified Financial Planner and Accredited Asset Management Specialist, with a Fiduciary Duty to be transparent in all financial dealings.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Economics, and Political Science; a Master of the Arts in Finance; and a Master of Business Administration.
I am required, by law, to undergo routine state and federal background checks, financial reviews, and training related to Sunshine Laws.
I am not afraid to ask questions, seek out other’s points-of-view, stand for what I believe is right, or work hard for the membership.

History of Volunteer Service

I have a proven track record working with non-profit organizations and government agencies to manage funds, further objectives, and set public policies.
I strive to make a difference in the causes I feel passionate about.
I am not currently serving as an elected National Rifle Association Board Member. I previously served a one-year term (Top vote recipients serve under a three-year term), and was appointed to complete the two year term of a deceased board member.
However, I continue to serve the board on a volunteer basis as an appointed civilian committee member because I believe Second Amendment.
I am currently serving as a member of the Board of Governors for Shriners Children's Hospital of Ohio.
I am also serving as Treasurer to the Autism Model Community School Board in Toledo, Ohio.
I am the former Vice President of a Governor’s Advisory Council for the State of Ohio (2005 - 2013).
I am a former member of various other 501(C)(3) Boards.
I am a proud Mason and Shriner having been elected 33rd Degree Freemason, recipient of the York Cross of Honor, Past District Deputy Grand Master, and Past Potentate.

Committed to the Second Amendment

I am a tactical and competitive shooter, and a life-long advocate of the Second Amendment.

Proud son of a police officer and grandson of a Korean War Veteran, both of whom have passed. Yet I still strive to make them proud of the man that I have become.
